Sometimes just formulating the right questions is a LEARNING TECHNIQUE on its own right.

I think these are some of the key questions to consider when teaching SENTENCE COMPLETION questions on the IELTS reading test:

1) How familiar are your learners with SENTENCE COMPLETION questions?

2) How skilled are they at exploiting GRAMMATICAL CLUES around the gaps?

3) And do they easily notice any important SYNONYMS around the gaps?

4) How skillful are they at spotting double content in the text when they see a DOUBLE QUESTIONS?
