To this day I’m sometimes still awkward on Zoom.
Because of the delay I sometimes still struggle to find out when someone has finished a turn, or whether they’re still talking…
…and then I interrupt…
…and then we both pause and restart at the same time… Oh, joy!
I’m not always sure where to look to ‘imitate’ eye contact either, or ‘how much’ to look at all…
On and on and ON…
So when I was recently told of the ‘hide self-view’ function, I became VERY enthusiastic, and I try to use it whenever I can.
(Pro tip if you decide to try it too: make sure there’s no food stuck between your teeth or any lipstick on them. You’re welcome).
