I’m a HUGE, (…HUGE) fan of learner autonomy.
I love to SELF-STUDY stuff, always did, always will.
…DISCOVER and COMPILE my own (life) curricula…
AND…
I also realize that there are times when this is LIMITED (…if not outright DANGEROUS).
…when it’s best to look for an EXPERT to guide me, typically when I suspect that I’m dealing with a case of ‘I-don’t-even-know-what-I-don’t-know’.
In other words when I don’t even know what the TERRAIN looks like under me. 😀
That’s when I like to seek out somebody who’s an AUTHORITY on the thing, and preferably one who has also walked in my shoes before…
How do you decide what to self-study, and where to get guidance?
